Volunteer
We are always looking for dedicated volunteers at It’s a Sensory World! Whether you want to come for a day or an entire summer, we welcome the opportunity for you to join our amazing community. Volunteer responsibilities and requirements will vary depending on the position and all volunteers must pass a criminal background check.
Donate
100% of donations go towards individuals, programming, and operational costs to keep the lights on. 70% of donations are individual donors- those donations can fund assistive technologies, curriculum and educational materials, building upgrades, help to provide teacher, parent, community, and local business trainings, and/or new safety measures.
Academy Positions
(Long-term/Full Time)
ISWA LEAD TEACHER
ISW Academy, our specialized private school program for ages 2 to twenty-two, is looking for passionate special educators. Applicants must hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and, once hired, must complete DIRFloortime® training in addition to the 24 hours of yearly training provided by ISW.
ISWA Assistant Teacher
ISW Academy, our specialized private school program for ages 2 to twenty-two, is looking for specialized teaching assistants. Assistants classroom help teachers achieve instructional objectives, help students achieve their goals, and assist with personal care and mobility. Applicants must hold a high school diploma and a desire to further their education in a related field. Once hired, they must complete DIRFloortime® training in addition to the 24 hours of yearly training provided by ISW.
ISWA Substitutes or Floating Assistant
Substitutes and Floating Assistants for ISW Academy assist classroom teachers in achieving instructional objectives and help students achieve goals, and assist with personal care and mobility. Applicants must hold a high school diploma and have experience working with those with developmental delays and disabilities. ISW will provide specialized training.
Sensory Motor Coach
Coaches will work with parents, teachers, and therapists to implement exercises and activities to improve sensory regulation and motor skills, utilizing our unique model and sensory-rich environment. Good written and oral communication skills are a must, and applicants must be able to meet the physical demands of the position. Flexible scheduling options and weekend hours are available.
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant or someone with an undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders to work in our InterActive Kids program providing DIRFloortime®. ISW will provide DIR® training and supervision. Flexible scheduling options are available.
Recreational Positions
(Short-Term)
SEASONAL CAMP STAFF (WINTER & SPRING BREAK)
We are seeking both lead and assistant counselors for our seasonal camps. We offer both part-time and full-time shifts, with camp hours running from 9 AM to 4 PM.
SENSORY MOTOR COACH
Using our unique model and sensory-rich environment, coaches will work with parents, teachers, and therapists to implement exercises and activities to improve sensory regulation and motor skills. Good written and oral communication skills are a must, and applicants must be able to meet the physical demands of the position. Flexible scheduling options and weekend hours are available.
SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT (SOCIAL COACH)

Summer CAMP STAFF
We are currently interviewing camp counselors for SUMMER CAMP at It’s a Sensory World! Our recreational camps serve children with special needs, ages two and up! We provide customized, sensory-based activities during our camp schedule and help keep children in a daily routine during school breaks. We love to provide our campers with unique experiences through creative activities, special programs, and community outings! Our goal is to provide a one-of-a-kind experience that provides entertainment, practice, and preparation for inclusive opportunities.
