Celebrating a $100,000 Gift and the Heart Behind It
There are moments that make you pause and reflect on just how far this community has come. This is one of those moments.
We are incredibly grateful to share a $100,000 gift from Lotus Legal in support of It’s a Sensory World.
This gift means so much to us, not just because of what it makes possible, but because of the heart behind it. Kate Cassidy, a founding attorney at Lotus Legal Search, is also an ISW mom, and her son Kevin has been part of our community for the past five years. Their family has grown alongside ISW, and over the years, Kate and her family have been such faithful supporters and a truly cherished part of our community. That is what makes this moment feel so special.

My favorite thing about ISW is that they truly care about and enjoy each individual child, which is something that Kevin feels and responds to. He’s excited to go to school daily.”
That is everything to us.
Because at the end of the day, this has always been about creating an environment where children, teens, and young adults feel seen, supported, and celebrated for exactly who they are. A place they are excited to walk into. A place where families feel supported.
Year over year, we fundraise to keep our programs running. To make sure our classrooms are staffed, our team is supported, and the individuals we serve have exactly what they need to grow, build independence, and thrive.
But a gift like this does something different.
It gives us breathing room. It allows us to lift our heads up for a moment and think beyond just what we need to sustain, and instead dream about what is possible. How we can grow. How we can serve more families. How we can continue building something that truly meets each individual where they are.
This kind of support changes what’s possible for us and for the families we serve.
